This Privacy Policy explains how Supernatural Life Church ("SLC", "we", "us", or "our") handles personal information when you use our website, mobile application, forms, events, communications, and related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.

We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, profile details, location, event or visit details, membership information, newsletter preferences, messages, testimonies, and prayer requests. Donation transactions may require contact, transaction, and payment information.

We may also receive limited technical information automatically, including device and browser type, operating system, IP address, app version, pages or features used, approximate location derived from IP, crash information, and diagnostic logs. We do not request precise device location unless a feature clearly asks for it and you grant permission.

The mobile app requires an account. We collect the information needed to create, authenticate, secure, and manage that account. Passwords should be stored only in a protected, hashed form by our authentication provider; we do not need access to your readable password.

We use information to provide and improve the Services; respond to enquiries and prayer requests; arrange visits, groups, membership, volunteering, and events; process and record donations; send requested newsletters and ministry updates; maintain security; diagnose technical issues; meet legal obligations; and protect the rights and safety of SLC and others.

Where required, we rely on your consent. In other cases, processing is necessary to provide a service you requested, comply with law, or support our legitimate ministry and operational interests. You may withdraw consent to optional communications at any time.

Prayer requests and pastoral messages can contain sensitive information. Please share only what is necessary and avoid submitting another person's private information without their permission. We use these submissions to respond, pray, provide requested follow-up, and maintain appropriate ministry records. We do not sell them or use them for advertising.

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be available to authorised staff, ministers, volunteers, and service providers only where needed for the purposes above and subject to appropriate duties of confidentiality.

Providers supporting the Services may include Cloudflare (hosting and data storage), Resend (email delivery), Kit (newsletter subscriptions), Zoho (hosted forms), Paystack and financial institutions (donation processing), and platform providers such as Apple and Google. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or rights, or as part of an organisational restructuring.

Some providers process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards designed to protect the information.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, ministry administration, dispute resolution, security, and legal, tax, or accounting requirements. Retention periods vary by record type. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to certain processing. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message. Device permissions and notifications can be changed in your device settings.

You may delete your account from the account or profile settings within the mobile app. Deleting an account removes or de-identifies the account and associated personal information, subject to records we must retain for legal, fraud-prevention, security, donation, tax, or accounting purposes. You may also request deletion by emailing info@slchurchng.org from the address linked to your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

The general Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the app without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. Information for children's ministry activities should be provided by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child submitted information improperly, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

We may update this policy as our Services or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website, or email where appropriate.
